Satay is the Indonesian name for meat, chicken or shrimp, strung on a stick. This spicy peanut sauce is made from peanuts and authentic spices such as ginger, garlic and coriander.
Preparation: Makes 550 ml of sauce.
1. Place the contents of the tub in a pan and add an equal amount of water. When using the whole tub of satay sauce, add 300 ml of water.
2. Slowly bring the sauce to the boil, stirring constantly.
3. Let the sauce simmer for 1 minute.
Serving suggestion: Serve peanut satay sauce with fried rice, noodles, and other oriental dishes together with prawn crackers, atjar, seroendeng and fried onions.
