Jumbo Butter Cake (Boterkoek) Mix - 400g

Preparation method Package contents 1 mix for butter cake Need extra 175 grams of butter (room temperature) 1 beaten egg Spring or butter cake shape (ø 24 cm)
Preheat the oven for a while making the dough Electric: 190 ° C Gas: setting 4-5 Hot air: 175 ° C
Preparation: put the mix for butter cake, the butter and half of the egg in a bowl and knead to a smooth dough. If the dough is too weak, you can let it stiffen in the refrigerator. Make a ball of the dough and press it flat evenly into a greased form. Brush the dough with the remaining egg.
Baking: place the butter cake in the middle of your preheated oven and bake in 25 minutes. Remove and allow the butter cake to cool in the mold.

Tip: for a softer butter cake, you can leave the egg out of the dough. For a diamond pattern, draw a slanting lines in the dough with a fork.
