With Koopmans old Dutch Apple Cinnamon Cake you can easily bake an old-fashioned delicious cake with pieces of cinnamon sugar and fresh apple. Smooth and full of flavour, with a crispy exterior. A delicious treat that fills everyone's kitchen with the fine smell of freshly baked apple cake.

Tip: also try with pear instead of apple.

Ingredients Cake mix (365g): wheat flour, sugar, wheat starch, maize flour, tapioca starch, raising agents (E450, E500), rice starch, emulsifiers (E471, E475), salt, thickener (xanthan gum) flavourings. Cinnamon sugar (35g): sugar, cinnamon, glucose syrup, burnt sugar, palm fat.

Necessities - 1 pack Koopmans Apple Cinnamon Cake - 175 g butter or margarine - 4 eggs (M) - 1 large or 1½ small apple (e.g. Elstar or Jonagold) (everything at room temperature) Oven temperature Electric oven: 160°C Convection oven: 150°C Gas oven: setting 2-3 Most suitable oven setting: Kitchenware - 30 cm cake tin - mixer with garden Preparation time Preparation: ± 15 minutes Baking time: 60-75 minutes

To prepare 1. Grease the cake tin with butter and dust the inside with flour or use baking spray (eg Dr. Oetker). 2. Place the rack slightly below the center of the oven and preheat the oven. 3. Peel the apple, remove the core and cut the apple into small cubes (0.5-1 cm). Prepare the batter 4. Beat the 175 g butter with the mixer in a mixing bowl until soft and creamy. 5. Add the cake mix and 4 eggs at once. 6. Beat the whole with the mixer on the lowest setting for about 1 minute until smooth. 7. Then beat the batter with the mixer on the highest setting for 2-3 minutes to a light batter. 8. Add the apple pieces and cinnamon sugar to the batter and mix into the batter with a spatula. Baking 9. Pour the batter into the cake tin and place the cake directly in the oven. 10. Bake the cake for 60-75 minutes until done and golden brown. 11. Place the cake in the cake tin on a wire rack and let the cake cool for 3-4 minutes. 12. Remove the cake from the mold and let the cake cool further on a wire rack. Have fun baking!
Tip Cake done? Pierce the center of the cake with a skewer. When the skewer comes out clean and dry, the cake is done.
